Michael Georgas

Electrical and Computer Engineer, M.Sc.

He received his B.Sc. and M.Eng. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece in 2017. In 2019 he received his M.Sc. in Micro and Nanoelectronics from the same department.

During his diploma as well as his master thesis he worked daily in the micro and nanoelectronics laboratory and clean room of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department where he specialized in graphene based chemical sensors (design, fabrication, characterization), simulation of TFT, HBT and Thyristors in Silvaco Deckbuild and various processes such as photolithography, silicon dry oxidation, thin film depositions with DC sputtering, evaporation techniques, spin coating and more.

Currently he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, DUTH, working on graphene based sensors.

At the same time he is an independent Android developer with experience since 2014 with multiple successful Android applications.

He has also gained experience in photovoltaic installation design and planning using specialized software (PVSyst). As a part of his Ph.D. he frequently presents the laboratory exercises in undergraduate students.

Michael has been a research associate at INEM since 2021.
