AIM Cell™ is a novel internal pre-heating method for low-temperature batteries.
The AIM Cell™ technology offers fast and uniform pre-heating of the active material from low temperatures of -40oC, with low energy consumption.
Our electrochemical cell utilizes a casted Graphite Anode on nichrome wires, connected to two nickel tabs, which are used to supply the input power to the heating system.
AIM™ technology provides a high level of adaptability in industrial applications and it’s chemistry agnostic, which means that it can be implemented on any battery electrode. Solid-state batteries could also benefit from the advantages of AIM™ heating, as it can keep the solid electrolyte warm during operation.
